Estate Millwork offers a curated selection of premium hardware to complement our custom millwork products. Each piece is manufactured from durable materials including stainless steel, wrought iron, and cast iron, ensuring lasting performance in any climate. Our hardware is designed to work seamlessly with custom exterior shutters and doors.
Hardware Categories
Our hardware collection is organized into three categories to help you find exactly what you need:
- Shutter Hinges -- Pintles, strap hinges, L-hinges, and bahama hinges in stainless steel, wrought iron, and cast iron. Available in multiple offset sizes to accommodate different wall depths and mounting conditions.
- Special Shutter Hardware -- Slide bolts, barrel bolts, hooks, and ring pulls for securing and operating your exterior shutters. Includes locking hardware for storm protection.
- Shutter Dogs & Tie Backs -- Decorative holdbacks that keep shutters open against the wall. Available in a range of traditional and contemporary designs.
Choosing the Right Hardware
Selecting the correct shutter hardware depends on your mounting surface, shutter thickness, and desired offset from the wall. Our most popular option is the stainless steel pintle set, which mounts directly into the window casing and supports shutters up to 80 pounds. For brick, stone, or stucco applications, lag pintles or offset steel window sets provide the necessary standoff distance.
Bahama shutters require their own specialized hinges and telescoping support arms. These top-hinged shutters mount above the window and prop outward, providing both shade and storm protection.
