The decorative window shutters in our Cottage collection are fully operational and give the flexibility and design elegance achieved by combining sturdy flat panels with fixed or operating louvers. The louvers can be set at any pitch, and the configuration can be either raised panel over louver or louvers over raised panels. The panels themselves are raised on the street facing side, and flat on the house facing side, and the louvers are always pitched to shed water "to the house" in the open position. These functioning window shutters can be ordered with the panel reversed if the customer desires, but the historically accurate configuration is our default.

Each decorative window shutter is hand made from premium materials, and the panels have elegant sculpted profiles that are deeply set in the shutter frame. By combining the elegance of the raised panel with the fixed louvers, a very pleasing visual aesthetic is achieved. Because all of our window shutters are custom made, customers can specify every detail of construction, and we are happy to do detailed take offs for historical renovation projects, and can accurately reproduce every relevant detail of highly custom window shutters.
