Custom Louvered Cabinet Doors for Kitchen Refacing and New Construction
Louvered cabinet doors bring an elegant, airy feel to kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and built-in cabinetry. The angled slats allow air to circulate inside the cabinet, which makes louvered doors particularly well suited for media centers, linen closets, and wine storage where ventilation prevents moisture buildup and odor.
Each Estate Millwork louvered cabinet door is built with true rails and stiles joined by mortise and tenon joinery -- the same construction method used in our full-size louvered doors and exterior shutters. The louvers are individually pitched and captured in routed slots within the stiles, producing clean shadow lines and a refined appearance that thermofoil or MDF alternatives cannot replicate.
Louver Panel Configurations
Our Sonoma louvered cabinet collection offers five panel configurations to match different cabinet heights and proportions. The 33-33-33 layout divides the door into three equal louvered sections separated by horizontal rails, ideal for tall pantry or utility cabinets. The 50-50 split works well for standard upper cabinets, while the 100 (full louver) configuration provides maximum airflow for a clean, uninterrupted look. The 40-40-20 and 60-40 options create asymmetric proportions that add visual interest to base cabinets and specialty applications.
Wood Species and Finishing Options
Louvered cabinet doors are available in every wood species we offer, including cherry, maple, white oak, walnut, and poplar (recommended for painted applications). All doors are built to your exact dimensions at no additional charge for custom sizing. Order unfinished for on-site staining, or choose our factory prime or paint options for a ready-to-install solution. Matching drawer fronts are available in coordinating styles.
