Each set of Estate Millwork interior shutters is crafted from high-grade American or imported hardwoods. We hand-select all wood, and use precision-calibrated computer software to determine maximum yield from each timber harvest. This means your interior shutters arrive free from blemishes, defects, or weak spots. Our solid, strong hardwood interior shutters also offer excellent sound-dampening properties.

Our shutters are precision-cut and assembled completely in-house. We use mortise-and-tenon joinery to assemble all interior shutter sets. This peg-and-hole assembly method is sturdier than the nails or glue that other shutter companies are using.

Estate Millwork's interior shutter collections offer homeowners endless options. (Most of the exterior shutter styles in our collections can be created as interior shutters.) Whether you prefer stately flat-panel or raised-panel shutters, or like the light, airy feel of louvered shutters, our craftsmen can design the window coverings you covet. Some of our customers have found that the Cottage Collection, a hybrid line that combines louvered and paneled shutter styles, is especially lovely in home interiors.
We offer many other possibilities for customization, too. Spice up your interior shutters with custom mouldings. These carved wood panels attach to the outer edges of your shutter frames. They make your interior shutters stronger, and they look great, too.
If you love decorative details, opt for custom inlays. Inlays are intricate wood carvings or designs that are fitted into grooves or depressions in shutter panels. We recommend choosing flat or raised panel interior shutters if you're interested in this particular customization technique.
