Antebellum Savannah ShutterLarge louvers and proper balance make this shutter a proud time stopper. The Savannah louvered shutter is a strong, sturdy style, with one large field of extra thick louvers. The large louver style of the Savannah can complement a range of architectural styles, especially in places where airflow and strength are particularly important. The Savanah style is naturally quite comfortable on Southern architecture, but can also be found in any design where strength and functionality are important. The standard thickness is 1 5/16" with 1/2" X 2 1/4" real louvers, but the dimensions can be modified to exactly match existing or historical shutters. Built with true mortise and tenon joinery, these beautiful shutters will give authenticity and style to your home. These elegant shutters can be ordered with a number of options ranging from operable louvers to radius tops, and there are a variety of custom details that can be included in the design: rabbeted edges, custom sticking profiles. Most commonly, our window shutters are manufactured from Spanish Cedar and Western Red Cedar, and easy to paint Poplar, although Estate Millwork can fabricate them from almost any type of wood.
