OldWorld Normandy Shutter

A manicured northern French refinement of the broader Mediterranean look. Can take the North Sea full on.

The Normandy is a French refinement of the classic Board and Batten shutter, with multiple, smaller Boards and two sturdy Battens. If you want to give your home a hint of a Northern European style, these are the shutters to go with. The thickness of this design can range from ¾. to 2 ¼., and these dimensions can be modified to exactly match existing or historical shutters. Built with true mortise and tenon joinery, these solid and functional shutters will beautify any home.

These elegant shutters can be ordered with a number of options ranging from horns to radius tops, and there are a variety of custom details that can be included in the design: z-braces, inlays, and additional battens. Most commonly, our window shutters are manufactured from Spanish Cedar or Western Red Cedar, although Estate Millwork can fabricate them from almost any type of wood.
