Bermuda Kingston Shutter

For the widest of windows and porches. This is our widest shuter and can stretch out to fourteen feet in length. Wow!

The Kingston Bermuda Shutter is a simple and strong louvered shutter with six equal sized fields of louvers divided vertically by two central stiles, and strengthened by an additional rail in the middle. This shutter was designed to be as wide as needed, for extra large windows, while still permitting good airflow. The additional stiles and rails help to keep this larger shutter strong. The standard thickness is 1 5/16" with 3/8" X 1 3/4" real louvers, but the dimensions can be modified to exactly match existing or historical shutters. Built with true mortise and tenon joinery, and with hardwood dowels, these stylish and strong shutters will beautify any home.

These distinctive shutters can be ordered with a number of options ranging from customized rails and stiles to radius tops, and there are a variety of custom details that can be included in the design: rabbeted edges, custom sticking profiles, and inlays. Most commonly, our window shutters are manufactured from Spanish Cedar and Western Red Cedar, although Estate Millwork can fabricate them from almost any type of wood.
